The Why and How of Art Therapy
My 30 years of experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
The focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
We have found that when people come for help with anxiety or depression they are surprised to know there are a couple of very simple things they can do to relieve their symptoms. What are they? Art Therapy and Cognitive Rehabilitation. Now, I am not saying Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Cognitive Rehabilitation is used in the context of rebuilding brain pathways for emotional help. We lose brain pathways with long-term stress. That's when we experience a hyper-boost of these damaging chemicals and guess what? Over time we can rebuild them.
