I have worked in the field of Art Therapy for over two decades. I have helped many different types of mental health issues using art therapy, both in children and adults. Art Therapy has helped clients suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and many neurological deficits where cognitive decline has occurred; ADHD, ADD, Concussion, and TBI.
The Art Therapy Approach
At Del Giacco Creative Arts Therapy, I believe in taking a holistic approach to therapy, treating the whole person and not just their symptoms. I use evidence-based techniques and work collaboratively with our clients to help them achieve their goals.
Dr. Del Giacco, Ph.D., LCAT is a Mental Health Provider Licensed as a Creative Art Therapist in New York State and has served as a Continuing Education Provider for LCATS from 2018-2024.
I became a psychotherapist because I am passionate about helping people live their best lives. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those with chronic mental health conditions.
I use Art Therapy in my practice, in your first session we will explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With Art Therapy, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. During treatment, you will explore recognizing the triggers that may keep you from managing your feelings better.

My 30 years of experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
The focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
